Anchor Pulpit damage

Anyone have this problem? On my 2015 34PC, when hauling the anchor, if the anchor twists, on the way up, and comes up backwards/upside down, it hits the very forward part of the anchor pulpit, and damages the fiberglass there. When hauling the anchor from the helm it's not possible to see the anchor, and even if I'm in the bow it's difficult to see. My initial thought is to find a piece of stainless steel and try to fit it up underneath, to prevent this from happening. A few screws and some 5200 should hold it. Anyone else run into this issue? What was your fix? Any thoughts are appreciated.

I had this same thing happen on my 41 PC. I will check with my mechanic next time I see him because I do not remember how it was resolved. I did have a gel coat guy repair the damage and it has not happened again so, whatever was done worked.

Use a banana swivel between chain and anchor to orientate the anchor. Mark the chain so you know when to slow the windlass down. I covered my underside with 3/4 inch hardwood.

I'm sure you have a chain counter on the dash of your 2015 34pc. It should be very accurate, simply slow down once you get to 3-feet. If you find that it is not accurate, their must be some way to calibrate / adjust it.

I've got a 2007 31PC and have had it since 2007.Never, ever been a problem.....
