And now for something completely different a 37ft cruiser twin 300HP OB......

I saw this this morning from my boat test emails. Was surprised to see the outboards. Not sure I understand the appeal, but I'm new. :)

One big advantage think how easy it would be to work on the engine. Have a problem unbolt the engine from transom disonnect cables small hoist and you probably have the engine on a work statnd pretty quick and cheaply....just a thought

I really like it and the design of the boat seems very thought out.

Aren't outboards a lot more fuel efficient?

I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea.

It might be the future....as OB get more and more powerful, why not.

The BS that goes along with I/O's is almost insane....

Saves a lot of space, 4 stroke OB and their getting better and better on Fuel. More cost effective. Need Yanmar to come out with a bigger Diesel OB

I had seen something similar from Cigarette last year and thought is was a great idea for a cruiser.
Less weight
Good Performance
Better Mileage
Lower Draft
More Space (Check out the floor plan with master suite in the rear)
Low Maintenance
Easy Maintenance (No crawling in the bilge)
Plus they claim jaw dropping performance. Interested in seeing if it lives up to the hype.

It would be interesting to see how relying 100% on the walkthrough with no side walk arounds work. It would makes the cockpit considerably wider. I wonder if the walk around would be missed? I only use then to lower fenders when docking and I make the kids use them to get to the bow when wet.
