I am having a new bimini/camper package made for my 2006 34 PC and am looking to a way to improve night time lighting in the aft cockpit seating area. With only one light in the arch, and that positioned far forward, the rear area with the tables and seating is quite dark. I came across a product called Kanvaslight by Guardtex, www.kanvaslight.com. I would like to know if anyone has any experience with it? It is a flexible illuminating material woven out of polyester and PPMA optical fibers. It is very light and can be attached as a sheet to a bimini top. The panel is illuminated by "light injectors" that shine light into the optical fibers from the ends. It runs on 15w 12 to24 volt DC and produces a 2,700K warm white light. I don't know the cost but will be looking into this.
