Hi all,
I had a leak in my Mercruiser 350 Mag water circ. pump. By the time I discovered it, I had sprayed salt water all over the inside of the bilge (via the pulley that flung it around at 100 mph!!!). Now there is quite a mess of crystalized salt on hoses, valve covers, just about everything.
Mechanic said to use Salt Away and "wash" inside bilge. Is that a good idea? Seems foolish to intentionally spray water INTO my bilge?
Any experience with this?
I guess the alternative is a careful wipedown, but that is a tight space (280 SS).
Thanks!
Steve
