Battery Charge Winter Storage

Boat is stored inside in a no heat warehouse my questions is should I keep the boat plugged in for the battery to charge? On the panel there is a switch for battery charge I assume this needs to kept on is there anything else I should do? Does this charge the bow thruster battery as well?
Thanks

For sure you need to keep the batteries "trickled" all winter. If you want them to last...if you don't, lifespan most likely will be shortened.

I actually take all mine out for the winter, and trickle them in my basement...I think they like to stay warm ;D

I am not sure on the setup of your 34, so can't comment on the panel setup.

SPS,

Pull all the constant power breakers, make sure the CO detector is turned off, and I charge my AGM batteries once a month for a day and works great. It's overkill to keep the on the chargers all winter long.

When I first turn the charger on there is less than a 5 amp draw on the charger each month during the winter. Not sure if non AGM batteries are different.

My thruster / windlass is combined on the stbd side battery bank and the house is on the port side banks. I wish the 34PC would have dedicated start batteries instead of the "shared" setup that I have on the 2008.
