Blue Water Birds...uh oh...

I've been ice fishing quite frequently on eastern Lake Erie, around 2' of ice. I've also been on Lake St. Clair, around 3' of ice. Going to be a while....

Two years ago tomorrow it was 75F and I was sea trialing my 37PC in Lake St. Clair

2-3 ft thick ice in marina....

They are guessing May thaw - marina might not open till June (WTF)

Unless something changes fast!

Yup - the ice is 2-3ft thick on lake st. clair. Its crazy this year....water levels better be up!

First day of Spring. It is 30 degrees and snowing. Started out as a chuckle, but am seriously getting concerned about splash day which we were targeting for May 16th. Marina may be thawed (bubblers), but nowhere to go!

slight bit of good news for some of us on the Great Lakes, Lake Ontario is good to go (we are at the end of the system after mighty flow of Niagara Falls) and boats are going in now, albeit it is only about 50 degrees. Most of us are running late with anti-foul work, waxing ,etc. The conditions upstream are scary.
