Boating in the Florida Keys 34PC

Hi all,, Anyone ever cruise the keys.. I ran the boat down there from N.J. over the winter but didn't have time to hang out and cruise around.. Going there in July to spend a couple of weeks on the boat in Marathon..Will be cruising to Key West of course but I was wondering where else to go..Any suggestions??? Jim

I'm planning a trip down to the keys late fall for the winter.I am thinking about staying in Marathon.Do you know any good marinas which allow stay abords? Last winter I spent in Ft Pierce. Did you run inside or outside?

Joe, I keep my boat at Marathon Boat Yard.. They are very nice people and I have stayed on the boat while there.. I don't store in the water though so a boat yard with good service is best for me.. Nicer marinas are in the area if you are going to be there the whole time.. Marathon is great.. Everything is there.. Anything you might need is available but your still in the Keys.. I ran the inside on the way down but didn't like it.. Too much thin water.. A little too thin more than once.. I will go outside on the way back next year.. Jim

Thanks for the info. I am currently looking into the Sombrero marina and Boot Key city marina. I do plan on living aboard 2-3 months.
