Bow pulpit removal

I am looking to remove my bow pulpit in order to seal it from leaking into the cabin. While r&r on the windlass it looked to be as easy as two bolts and the forward most stanchions. Besides the wires, does anything else have to be removed such as the two cleats and the windlass?

Thanks, Mike.

I'm probably going to tackle this same project his coming winter. I hope yours went easy.
So far all I have done is remove the interior cover panels and the aluminum trim from around the pulpit edge.

Here's an update on my 29PC, Been slow at getting things done but step by step i suppose... I had removed the windlass as it stopped dropping. The forward 8" circle hatch was to small to work with so I cut out and will be installing a hatch about 10 x 14 inches, so much easier than the one that came with the boat. I will be putting it in after I put back in the solenoids It looks like 1) the old gasket was shot and 2) Formula never sealed the two holes that the motor and anchor line went through. So water got in there and the core was sucking up water. I was looking at the rail around the pulpit, it has two skins and it separating which is another place for water to wick into. I figure the way to correct it is two take it apart, reglass and fill in the two skins with resin and make it one piece.

1. Has has anyone split the two skins on the bow pulpit? If so, how did you split them?
2. How is the wiring for the bow spotlight wired? Is it inside the pulpit?

Thanks

Mike
