Common 04-08 34PC Issues?

Hi All,
In my quest for a replacement for my 31PC, I have been looking at 34PC's in the 04-08 vintage. Are there any common items or issues to lookout for with these boats? I already know about the 496 manifold and cool fuel issues. What else should I be on the lookout for?

Hi -

I bought an 05 34 PC with Volvo 8.1s four years ago. Survey came back good. Bought with 156/160 hours; now has 235/239. However, here is a partial list of repairs/correction of deferred/poor maintenance:

- manifolds/risers
- fuel pump - this is the Volvo 'ethanol' painted interior issue; Volvo is very proud of this part. It is quite expensive.
- power steering pump/cooler/actuator
- trim rams/senders
- trim tab hydraulics
- cone clutches - both drives.
- starters
- fuel injectors/rails
- oil pressure gauge senders
- AC service

Elective items:

- new, extended bimini top and canvas cover
- stereo upgrade

While that sounds like a lot, the costs were broken up over several years. I had a choice between an 05 and an 07 when I was looking. Same basic boat, but 07 was asking 60 more. I am quite a bit under the extra 60K, and the listed items would be coming due on the 07 right about now. So I am ahead, or so I tell myself.
