Cut off ac switches behind shore power connections

I never have and don't know of anyone that does. That said it's a Breaker so only reason to turn it off is when someone want's to leave shore power connected and do something to the wiring. Again do see the need, just unplug

This is there to protect the boat's wiring from the shorepower plug to the panel (in the case of a faulty shoreside breaker). There's really no need to use it unless you have to do some work behind the ac panel and you don't feel like jumping off to shore and disconnecting there.

i use them to turn off power before I disconnect the shore power cords. always remove the load before unplugging. While I realize there are other ways to do this, this is my preference.
