Depth Finder Transducer

Hey guys. Looking for some help here. Just bought a 1999 Formula Fastech 271 freshwater boat. Depth gauge is not working properly. I have been everywhere in the boat. In front of engine. By gas tank. Under the front step into cabin. If anyone can help that would be awesome! Thanks guys!

If you can take the boat out of the water you will easily locate it on the hull. Make sure it wasn't painted over with bottom paint. That can cause issues.
 
I had a 1999 34 PC and the transducer for their depth gauge was glued inside the hull in the engine compartment. It looks like an oversize hockey puck.
 
Resuscitating thread as I was also looking for the location of the transducer in a 2000 271 FASTech. Could not find it from outside...
 
Thank you, I saw it. But I could have sworn there was two of them white boxes back there. One further aft under the motor. But I'll check again today. I did fix the Depth Finder, it was a poorly rigged wire that apparently disconnected while I was trailering it after purchase.
