Went on a sea trial yesterday, 2013 310 BR. Twin Volvo 380 HP Ocean X Joystick. 170 hours on engines/boat. Ran good until...
Took her to WOT and bounced off of 5,000 RPM, no where near WOT spec of 5,600-6,000. Topped out at 49MPH GPS.
Came off plane, opened the hatch, shot temps on engine, all good.
Went back on plane and about 3,000 got this error code MID 128 SID 8 FMI 14 on STBD engine.
No guardian kicked in, temps and Oil pressure good. Little vibration getting on plane.
Back at dock, engines with throttle only between 1200-2500 rpm STBD engine was rough/shak'n a bit. PORT was smooth as glass.
Being told that code is a spark/Valve/Cylinder issue?
I am pretty sure the wires and plugs are original. That being said could also be why she wont get to WOT specs?
Boat is Stock, props check out.
Any ideas appreciated. Always been a black motor guy.. not sure about these red things LOL.
Hoping not a bad Valve or cylinder issue.
Oil clean no signs water and no signs of oil in antifreeze.
