Engine goes dead

I have a 310 BR and a few times now ill be cruising around 30mph and the engine will just slow down to a crawl. Throttles are are still engaged but engine slows down. Has this happened to anyone before?

Would need to know what motor and serial numbers are best?

Is this a new to you boat?
What maintenance has been done last season?
At any time does it go away and start running normal? If so what is done?

Im actually going to start a new thread with a different heading because I have a lot more info now and maybe others can help solve based on a different title.
