Floscan - any experience? Where did you put it?

I'm thinking of installing a twin floscan for my 280SS and am wondering if anyone has experience with them and also where you installed the gauge. I like the idea of finding the sweet spot as far as gph goes and also keeping an eye on fuel consumption per engine so I know if everything is OK.

I have an offshore fishing boat with the Volvo D6 and I have the digital control unit that shows me gph, in addition to a lot of other information. I find that I keep the unit set to the gph reading so I can keep my fuel usage down. On those 70+ mile runs to the tuna grounds it uses lots of fuel

Don't see a good spot for the gauge and wanted to see if anyone has found a good location on the dash.

Not sure if you have an in dash lowrance depth finder. I had 2 depth finders, one in the GPS and one in the dash. I took the one in the dash out and put the feul flow gauge in its place. Cant remember what brand it was but it fit perfectly.

I BELIEVE THE FLOSCAN FITS IN A STANDARD 3 1/4 INCH HOLE. SOME PEOPLE REMOVE THE TACH. AS THE FLOSCAN HAS ONE BUILT IN IT ALREADY.

had one on my old boat really liked it although the gave me the wrong gauge so I could not tell fuel flow at full throttle but cruise worked good.

A couple of years ago I installed at NavMan Digital Twin Engine Fuel Flow with GPS couple.

It worked outstanding. Did everything. Miles per gallon, speed, gallons in tank, gallons left in tank, gallons per hour burn, miles to empty.

I installed in on a 99 Formula 31 PC. I had no room on the dash panel so we mounted in flat, in front of the dash to the left of the steering wheel. This setup was easily viewed while running even though it was not angle towards the driver.

The large digital readout was great. I would install another one like this again.
