Bought a 2004 400ss in the fall. The boat was never bottom painted, it was rack stored most of its life but did spend a couple years in the water on Lake Michigan. There are no blisters on the boat
I want to bottom paint it as a lift and or rack storing is not an option. I talked with the Petit Paint Techinical sales rep at the boat show. I told him I wanted to do the Vivid white paint with the epoxy barrier coat. He told me there is no need for the barrier coat as the Formula's use Vinyl Ester resin and it is impervious to moisture. Use BioBlue to clean the hull then sand with 80 grit paper wipe it down again. And put 2 coats of Vivid white on and I'm done
Any thoughts or real world experience ?
Thanks
Mark
