Formula Rendezvous

Hi all,

I know Formula and dealers put on rendezvous in a few locations cross the country.

Would you guys like to set up a few smaller meetings in your respective areas? I know it wont be as big as Formulas, but it would be nice to have a smaller one where we have a concentration of formula owners. Example, if there are at least 10 formula owners in the Atlantic City / South Jersey area it would be worth meeting up for a day / overnight trip.

I suggest we find a few regions around the country, then set a meeting place. It is the responsibility of each boat going to the meeting to make their own docking / slip arrangments at what ever marinia or even if its a beach some place and a few burgers and coolers of drinks.

I will set up a forum by region if it looks like it will take off. It would help if you put your location in your profile for me to make the regoins up. If you do not wish to put your location in your profile thats fine. once the regoinal forum is up you can find out the locations that way.

Anyone interested, ideas?

Great idea, I am up for it. Region break down will most likely depend as you said on the member concentration. Probably should be an hour to two max by boat to meeting place.
 
I tried to get one oranized for Florida once before, but didn't have a way to contact enough Formla owners. Maybe this will be what we need.
 
I like the rendezvous idea. I would like to catch the Florida area too. The ST Johns looks like a great river to ride if there is any room after Cuda's eight boats. :eek:
 
Sounds like a great idea to me. Ya know there has been a Formula Rendesvous on the Chesapeake and not all that far from So. Jersey. I missed last summers due to some mechanical germlins. From what I saw (in pix) they had a pretty nice turnoout.

Yeah, its 200 miles by water. I cant trailer. We make 1 trip a year down there and its with the club at my marina. I might make it some day, maybe when I get by YACTH :-\
 
Missed this past summers Chesapeake bay rendezvous, but made the 2004 one, and had a good time.
A Formula rally anytime sounds good to me.
We boat the upper Chesapeake, but have run down to the Solomans.

I can and do trailer. I have also run down there(Great Oaks) where the rendesvous was from the Phila. area. Now , just because of the price of gas I would trailer at least part way.
