Formula Tough!! IRMA vs 400SS

Well I'm just getting all the info on Miss Kimberly. The 400SS is sitting outside on a work rack in Marathon Fl. The wind was recorded at 160 in Key Colony beach until the wind speed indicator blew off the side of the building. We had a 4' storm surge in the lot where its on a rack. Amazingly we did not float. There were boats pushed up into the lot laying on their sides. We stayed put. The plugs were out so I think the engine room flooded some. We still have dead batteries probably because of bilge pump? I'm in San Diego so I am doing this by remote control. I keep the plug in the pipe between the cabin and the engine compartment. The amazing thing is that the cabin is COMPLETELY DRY! Whew No Mold!!
The damage is I see it now is the entire eisenglass top blew off and shredded. Had I been there or known about hurricane prep I would have unzipped everything. Hindsight is perfect Huh? The engine room probably has some water damage. Water in starters, inside drive bellows ect. I am bringing the boat back to San Diego asap. I will deal with State Farm claims here. I probably will pull the engines and send them to my Local Volvo Guy, Maby upgrade to D-6 400's w/latest drives.
I am having a new aluminum Manning gooseneck trailer built. Matt gave my a good price with a 4 week delivery. I need to get the new trailer to Marathon?
When I sold my 382 "Fossil Fuel" I also sold my F-350.......Now I'm shopping for a tow rig also....SHEEZE. With a gooseneck the F-350 tows up to #30k. I will be about #20K on the trailer. Should handle it OK. I don't want to go Sportchassis. Thoughts? I do need to get outta Marathon soon. I have contacted commercial haulers and it seems San Diego is a black hole on return hauls so the prices are nuts. I can pay for my new trailer with the cost of a commercial haul.. More news later.......
