Front Bimini won?t stay attached.

I know there are a lot of formula owners out there with the sport arch and I?m wondering if anyone is having the same issue as I am? My front Bimini canvas won?t stay in the groove of the arch, where it attaches, when we are running. I can?t imagine formula would design this canvas to be taken down if you are going to run at full speed. When I say that, full speed , it?s running speed is 40 MPH , On a 31BR. Top speed 52. Does anyone have any feedback on this? It seems that I?m missing something here. New to the boat and need some feedback. Thx !

My 2008 SS350 has the Bimini tops attached with what they refer to as the ATS track. Over time, the friction fit in this track is not what it used to be, and the top will come out of the track from wind pressure at speed. When I spoke to Formula about this many years ago, they suggested I drill and tap holes in the track so that small SS thumb screws could be added to clamp the edge on the top in place. I bought the thumbscrews through McMaster-Carr. It has worked pretty well now for at least six years, and I do not notice the screws anymore. See the attached photo.SS350 Top.jpg

I have contacted formula for a replacement Bimini.

Thank you for the feedback. I wanted to order a new canvas, or the black tooth track, They are not taking orders till fall, so I decided to silicone the canvas into the groove at the weak spot. So far so good. Hopefully get through the season.
