A little background. My starboard engine (350 Mag MPI, year 2000) was having trouble starting (had to give throttle and rev a bit) about 25 percent of the attempts. Otherwise fine, and running perfectly once started.
My mechanic wants to replace the injectors / told me I should not run boat until they are replaced, stating they could mess whole motor up.
That does not jive with my knowledge of Car engines. Anyone have experience? Is he right? This would ruin a trip I have planned this weekend, because we can't find the part.
