Galley Refrigerator issues

I have a 2005 37PC with an Isotherm refrigerator. For some reason I decided it was this year that I was going to solve the problem of the refrigerator not being cold enough. So here goes. In the fall I removed the refrigerator brought it home and plugged it into a normal AC outlet. Using an appliance thermometer I discovered the refrigerator maintained a temperature around 38 degrees. Then I got a car battery and tested the DC power supply with the same results the temperature was around 38 degrees. I have a friend that is an appliance repair guy and he said that everything looks good to him. I then contacted tech support at isotherm and they said that it most likely a seal issue which I have replaced. In talking with the tech support they asked me what type of boat did I have. When I told them a 37PC they asked if it had the articulating arm that attached to the inside of the cabinet door and then to the refrigerator door. I answered yes and they told me that they have fielded many calls from formula owners that had the exact same issue. They surmised the problem is the design of the articulating arm insomuch as it does not completely close so as to have a tight seal as it should be. I have purchased a latch and plan on removing the arm to see what happens. Has anyone else had the same problem? Did anyone find a solution?
