Gauge Accuracy

Need some help with this. I had NEMA 2000 installed in my 2000 41PC Volvo Powered, so while I was at the Fort Lauderdale Show in 2018 I purchased Raymarine tri-data for depth, speed, miles etc. I also purchased Yacht Designs MFD's for the "before I decide on which GPS and Radar I am upgrading to, to replace the Original Northstar system I have.
When I fuel up I always top up the tanks since I hate going to Fuel docks, Usually I travel for 20 hours between fuel ups and to top off the tank i put 100 gallons in each tank to fill up. Well when I compare mileage between Navionics app and the Tridata there is a 20% difference, the Tridata showing less miles travelled and yes the Tridata is set to miles not nautical miles. Would I be right in thinking that the GPS is correct and the Tridata needs adjustment??
Also this is for all you guys or gals using original gauges - the original dash temp gauges show 179 / 180 at cruise while the MDF's show 185 / 186, so those times when you push her and temperature riises does 6 degrees difference make a difference?
