Generator OC Code

My gen will not even turn over just some clicking and stops show the OC code. Doesn't matter if i try from gen or panel switch.

I am showing 13.5 volts at the red wire connection on the starter synoid.

To get it running i have to hook jumper cable of from house battery and go straight to the starter. It fires right up and runs all day with no issues.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
 
Are you reading 13.5 while cranking? If not have someone attempt to start while you read voltage, shouldn't drop below 12.6 if I recall correctly. If the voltage drops significantly, you've got a bad battery. Also check the negative connection, for corrosion or loose connection.
