has anyone replaced the switches that control the retract and extend features near the receptacle on the back deck.

Hard to explain but see picture. The retract switch sticks in the on position, scary.

Please let me know where you got the replacements Ok.

I did email Support at Formula today as well and will share if I hear back.

Thank you

The switch was in stock at Formula, they got right back to me on Monday, like always.

Part number is P3-D000093 WHT/CL Bezel Long Thread - $90.41

hey Bob,
there should also be a contact switch inside of the plug housing that should stop the retract when the plug is all the way in. have you checked to see if it's working? that should've prevented this issue even if the button sticks on...

Hey Todd, thanks for the comment. Yes that works but scary when the switch is stuck in the retract position when its plugged into the pedestal. LOL

The reverse happened to me a couple of years ago. the "out" button got stuck, and the entire 100 feet of cable unloaded itself into the engine room. It really happened amazingly fast. The only way to stop it was to flip all the breakers in the panel over the generator.

Then I had to work with someone to pull it all out of the boat and then retract it all in. took some doing.

My mechanic said "oh I can replace those for you". Now I give it all a shot of WD40 once a year. so far so good.

Easy Living - Do you know the Wesgarde part number for the switch? P3-D000093 WHT/CL Bezel Long Thread is apparently the part No used by Formula.

It should be the Same part number. It is made by Otto Engineering. I just checked Wesgarde and they are not showing it in stock anymore. Do you need the color White? Did Formula say what manufacturer they are using now?

Okay I found out the part number is a custom. There is no different color available it would have to be a special order. My suggestion would be to call Wesgarde and see if they have any on order. They can be ordered through a Otto distributor but it would have a six piece minimum with a 6 week lead time. Hope this helps.

It was easier to just get it from Formula, fit perfect. Am sure i could have tracked it down and saved a few $$$$ but ???

Thanks

Otto Controls manufactures the button. Here's a link to this style button on their website -- https://www.otto-controls.com/p3-d-dome-style-sealed-momentary-action

Easy Living is right - P3-D000093 etc is apparently a custom Formula part number, not an Otto part number.

I may go ahead and get the part from Formula, but for reference, Otto's part numbering template is available at that link.
