Just a suggestion I am superior but its short trailer to lake Michigan, maybe door county WI or mackinaw island area. Lake superior has some beautiful spots too but it is a haul for most people.

Tried a Lake Erie one last year, only found one other forum member that was interested....and then it just never happened.
Wish we all had the time to meet as group...

Toofast, willing to try to do it again.Planning on a trip to P.I.B. in June,Leamington Canada end of July, and of course Kelley and Huron.Any ideas? How about lake St Claire.I know you have a new little one, and we don't know how long you can travel.Hit me up some time. How about going to the east side of lake Erie?Open to anything.

Yep, same here.

Greeting fellow Formula Owners.

A couple of us our planning on taking our Formula for a 10-day outing starting July 31 or August 7, 2010 from Mackinaw Staits to Sault Ste Marie.

Plans are to stay at Mackinac Island a few nights, night in the Hessel/Cedarville MI area, over to Cheyboygan MI, up the river to Mullet Lake, then on to Detour Village MI, up thru St John's River to Sault Ste Marie.
We will spend a couple nights there, with a day trip to the Great Lake Shipwreck Museum, via the Sue Locks. On the way back from the Sue we will stop at Lime Island.

We are always enjoy meeting new Formula owners.
Challenges for this trip?
- Need to overnight on your boat, or figure out where to if not on your boat.
- Overwidth loads are a real hassle on the Mackinaw Bridge. No crossing with overwidth boats from Friday- Sunday. Monday-Thursday have restricted times.
- Mackinac Island, you will need to make reservations early for this one. Sitting out and getting beat up by the ferry boat waves is no fun. May be challenging to get to shore. Reserving early works great!

Weather is usually not that big of a deal. Late July/Early August is the best time. With this trip you are not exposed to big wave during that much of the trip.

While we move around what seem like allot, we normally burn less than 2 tanks of fuel.

Interested? Drop and email to jshelton@tds.net.

toofast and snoproblem,

Let me know if you guys decide to do something this summer. I can't wait to launch ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Right on...for sure we will try to do the islands of course...go there a ton. But I have a new baby this year, so I am sure my life will change a bit. But last year we went to Kelly's, Put N Bay a ton...snow and I never got to hook up, but for sure this year we will at least meet at the islands once or twice.
Will keep you informed.

I would be interested in the Lake Erie rendezvous as well... let me know if you guys do something. My kids are 10 and 9 but up for just about anything.

Sangelo...

Congrats on your new Formula 37 PC. Where do you dock in Lake Erie? Just curious... where did you buy the boat from? Hope you have a great summer on her!
