Hampton Marine Rendezvous

It looks like Hampton Marine on Long Island will be having a rendezvous July 31st to August 2nd at Montauk, LI. I guess they haven't found this site as yet. Maybe they need to get hit with a piece of 4X4 or slapped upside the head :D :-\ ??? Hope lingers eternal right? 8)
 
Montauk Yacht Club, Block Is. Champlains,Sag Harbor, LI Sound. Some of the best NE cruising waters. I do miss it.
 
I got my initial packet from Hampton Watercraft & Marine yesterday. July 31 to August 2nd, I am figuring a day & a half to get there and same for return so it should be a nice 6 day break, or at least 5 days. What can we do to keep gas prices down? If I buy futures does that give me any kind of guarantee?
 
I'm just curious, but who if anyone here is planning on attend the rendezvous at Hampton Marine? I ask as I'm am currently scheduled to work that weekend but I would change call weekends if there were an adequate turnout?
 
Seas, we are not going to be able to attend this year due to my wife having surgery 2 weeks before this event. I was really looking forward to making the trip out to Montauk. Now we are just doing things along the Hudson, particularly relative to the quadricentennial celebration. Kristin at Hampton Marine has been really helpful in getting information out to me.
