Hi All,
I discovered a leak in the holding tank at the lower pump-out fitting on our '98 31PC. I removed the tank from the boat and after I unthreaded the elbow found that the bung that is glued to the tank had a slice in it that actually went into the tank material a little bit as well.
Does anyone know that these tanks are made of? It is black in color. Is it polyethylene or poly polypropylene or something else? Every search I do online for holding tanks shows me clear/white colored tanks.
I have removed the glued in bung and think that I will try and replace it with a bulkhead fitting. Has anyone ever done this before? Any other suggestions?
