Closed on Tuesday. Took her out for the first time today. Amazing torque from the IPS500 drives/pods. Very happy.

1 thing I had trouble with were the blade trim tabs. The boat was leaning to starboard and I pushed on the left button with the icon that indicates port side down. But it didn't seem to want to level out. Any suggestions on how to use them properly?

Beautiful boat, congratulations. Did you test both trim tabs before launching? I'm sure you did but I had to ask.

Lol I didn't. It's at the shop right now getting the pod servicing and he said he would check them.

I'm surprised you need them at all. I don't have the pods but I have never used my tabs for leveling the boat, I only use them to keep the bow down.

So maybe they were malfunctioning straight away... TBD

They're pretty famous for failing I had the same thing happen on mine you have to replace the unit

While the boat is out of the water, and even if only 1 is bad, you should replace even the one that’s working. You don’t need to, but it’s nice to know you’re starting out fresh, as it could save a lot of time, trouble and money, when the next one fails. It’s a crapshoot, meaning there’s no way to predict which one will go next.

They are known to require replacement, and can’t be fixed, once they break. What happens is sea barnacles get caught up into the assembly, while the blades are retracting, and damage the plastic gears.

You should also carry a set of spares, if you travel.
