Imron vs. Alexseal

Has any one had any experience with the Alexseal paint products? With all the negatives with Imron, ( toxic, hard to blend, enclosed area to paint) I am cosidering the Alexseal' when I bought my boat it had some small scrapes on the hull and the previous owner also drove with anchor part way down thus causing it to swing and bounce off hull in a v pattern chipping the paint along with one pressure puncture under the pulpit. I had an experienced fiberglass / painter look at it and he said alot of big yacht manufactures have switched from Awlgrip and Imron to the Alexseal paints. He has painted with them all and prefers the Alexseal, not only for application but the results ,shine and durability. Any Comments?

Mmmm, new one for me....but I did a bit of research and DuPont Imron still wins the SHINE/DEPTH/DURABILITY fight.

HOWEVER if Alexseal is 1/2 the price...it might be well worth it. I am sure others will chime in.

Having our F40PC repainted with Alexseal metallic & should be completed in 2 months. Price....doubt there is any price advantage over imron, $5K just for the paint system.
In my view, paint price is marginal compared to the labour cost for refairing/ repainting boats.
Here is a 126' Super Yacht painted with Alexseal metallic http://www.vitters.com/yachts/sarissa
