been looking at the thread clueless had going and it got me to thinking about the exhaust for my inboards. the water mufflers at the front of the engines are huge and they take up a lot of space. i wonder if it would be feasible to remove the fiberglass ones and build some out of stainless, make them a little smaller and maybe with a little less muffling, to let the big blocks flow a little more freely. more of a straight thru the hull design if you know what i mean. the 502s sound awesome when they are first fired up but once the mufflers fill up she tames down quite a bit, would be nice for her to sound a little more like the performance cruiser she is. anybody got any insight/technical knowledge/websites they could point me to?
