Installing bow thruster in a 370 SS


Thought I would add some pictures to complete the project reporting.

Picture 1: Main fuse, main circuit breaker and automatic fuse for the charge circuit.

Picture 2: Battery box secured in place (with 95 Ah AGM battery), an extra beam to support the thruster motor.

Picture 3: Surely the box could have been made in a different way and much tighter (especially with the thruster motor tilted forward), but I wanted to make it easy to access for installation and service inspection. A lot space have been lost though. The box will be dressed with some material later on.

Picture 4: A voltage gauge to see when the thruster battery is turned on and to easily see the voltage (it drops to around 11 volts when thruster is running)

I've tried it out in water now a few times and I'm really happy with the results and convenience when maneuvering by the docks.
