Hello, I’m looking for some insight. I purchased this boat a couple weeks ago, the title has it as a 1982 Mako 20ft but it’s clearly not. The boat measures out to 23ft and the transom appears to have the bump outs but they are different than what a Formula. I’m guessing it’s some sort of variant?
I’m unsure of the deck layout but it appears to have had some shoddy or rushed work on it, the floor is extremely high. (The gunnels reach up to right below my knees) the gelcoat peels off to show what appears to be yellow paint. My best guess is that somebody started restoring it as a project, couldn’t finish it upon which someone else purchased it, slapped on a bracket a 140hp motor and an unfinished 1/4 plywood deck and then covered everything in generic seadek to hide the work.
