2008 350 SS with 496 Mag HOs.. might need to replace my starboard engine raw water (sea) pump. Found this on Amazon, is it the right one for the 496 Mag HOs?

The front end of the in your first posting and this one are the same as yours, but the back end is different. Your complete pump assembly is 8M0137218 (first listing) which has easy drain fittings. The pump housing kit is 8M0118062 (item 1), which contains housing, impeller and O ring seal.

The rear section of the pump also wears and the repair kit would come with a thin stainless steal plate and seal. You could get either pump and use the front half with current setup. If you do, then suggest taking the pump apart and pulling the impeller out. Just sitting is hard on the impeller

So far as the pulley, for 10 to $15 you can get a pulley puller/installer at most stores and are easy to use

Thanks AllDodge, I did call RawPumps and spoke to Joe Dubois regarding the pump that's listed on ebay (my 2nd photo). He took my engine serial number and sent me the same pump diagram you provided above. As you mentioned, he said I needed a slightly different pump. On this one, the rear of the pump uses the air housing to drain the raw water system. The photo from ebay seems to match the diagram. Here's the link for the photo: https://www.ebay.com/itm/132896582371

Agree, that is the correct one.

They are simple to rebuild. As before, if your getting it for a spare, then remove the impeller until needed.

AllDodge, I also need to order a new sea pump pressure sensor for this same starboard pump. I am getting high readings in VesselView for this side, i.e. it reads 17 psi at idle compared to 3.2 psi on port. Water temps are fine at all rpms, so I'm assuming I need a new raw water pressure sensor. Do you know the part number and vendor?

Most those pressure sensors don't show more pressure, they show to little when failing. Not saying yours is doing that, but right now I don't think its the sensor.

Increased pressure I would look at the temp gauge and make sure your not running a bit warmer. If good, take an IR temp gun a measure temps at different points (manifolds, risers, thermostat housing, hoses). What your looking for is if there is an increased temp in an area. An increase temp in an area can be caused by a restriction, such like an exhaust flapper getting caught in the Y pipe. If all areas appear the same, then compare with the other motor.

... but in my other post, they said that my port at 3.3 psi at idle was correct, not the 17 psi that I see on the starboard. Also, the port psi reading goes higher as I increase rpm, while the starboard is constant around 17. The temps are normal at all speeds, between 158 and 164. Is there a part number and vendor for the sensor?

Supplying this info with previous would have me answer differently.

With that your need part number 8M6000623 (item 9) Change number to 29

Thanks AllDodge, much appreciated... but that link takes me to a page with parts for steering. Maybe you intended to use this link: https://www.mercruiserparts.com/bam/subassembly/31819/12826/295. Item 9 now shows to be a sensor. After adding item 9 to my cart, the description says its an "oil" sensor. Is the oil pressure and the water pressure the same part?, or is Item 9 not the right sensor?

Here's a photo of my psi readings at low rpm (5.5 mph), and a photo of the sensor part showing the description "oil"

Ahhhh No there was no mistake

The sensor in your link is a 0 to 100 psi, for oil pressure and other

Your water pressure senor is on your power steering cooler, which is part of your steering system

So when you wrote "Item 9", you intended "Item 29". 9 is a screw, 29 is a sensor.. If yes, it's making sense now..

Found it on Amazon for $29 vs. $149 at mercruiserparts.com
