Just a few general forum questions

Formula Tenn

New member
Been off the forum for a while and thought I'd jump back on here and see what's happenin'. Apparently quite a bit! Lots of new users that I don't recognize and still quite a few of the you who've been on here longer than me still seem to be pretty active. Anyway, just a few quick questions. Is there a setting I can change to not get kicked off and have to log back in if I need to step away from the computer for a few minutes? Very annoying to have to log back in and I figure i'm probably not doing something right or need to change a setting. Also browsed thru the blog section and it seems as though all that stuff is pretty much forum material?? Am I mistaken or is that section more about telling a story vs posting questions/comments on the forum? I still find the pics to be a bit confusing but I can probably work thru that with a little more practice. Anyway I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer, happy boating and be safe!

When yo log in (assuming you have normal browsers) you SHOULD see a check box that says stay logged in, under your log in info....if not, let us know.

As for the BLOG, well I am not exactly sure as I have no explored that section, I am sure others will jump in shortly.

Hi Doug hope all is well glad to have you back.

try what too fast said to keep logged in.

Yes you are correct the blog is to tell a story some new members may have been confused and posted forum related info in the blog section I just left it there and told them they should post in the forum section And not the blog area.

Maybe someday someone will take the great loop in a Formula and use the blog area so we can follow them on their journey

Every day when you login and go to the forum page click on new posts top left and here you will see anything that's new since your last visit . However new posts that you make will not show up in new post area because you posted them.

A few members thought after they posted they could go back in and see their post and that's not the case just wanted to leave a refresher on the subject

hope this helps.

Yes thank you sir I appreciate the refresher, makes things a bit easier. Not sure I'll be here every day since its boating season but definitely want to check back in more often and will try the stay logged in thing too and see if that helps.

Agree that a great loop story would be a great read and would also suggest that members latest big projects might be something good to throw in there. How cool would it be to read a blog about Tom's PC! anyway thanks for the help and i hope evryone is having a great boating season.

Would like some suggestions on loading pics. I can make it work but surely there is a better way and they are right in the middle of my post making me look like some kinda moron, can someone edge-u-ma-cate me??

Place the cursor where you want the pic. Then click the pic icon up^^^^

So move my cursor where i want the pic then drag and drop it there? That's what ive done above and this seems to work okay

When you post there is a pic icon in the tool bar. See arrows ^^
here you pick the folder where the pic is located and then upload. But if drag and drop works that's cool

Those two little arrow thingys (technical term) don't appear for me, is there a setting I need to change so that I can see them?

The arrows were in the picture I attached of the posting area. When you post its on the tool bar we're the font, smiley are etc..
