Makes a more level entry when coming back down in the water after a jump/launch out of the water. This trend started in the 06 model production as best I can tell. I have been shopping Fastech's for a while and 05 and earlier have the angle mounted planes and 06 and later have them horizontal/flat.
Some other boat lines have done this too. Some say better some say it makes no difference. ???
