LED Cabin Lighting

I have a 1990 36 PC. I am looking to replace the lights mounted in the headliner of the forward birth with LED lights. The current lights are mounted in a hole in the headliner that measures roughly 8" long x 2 1/12" wide. I am hoping to find a LED light what will cover this hole as that would be the easiest swap out. Has any one replaced these lights before? If so, what did you replace them with? Are you happy with your replacement? Anyone have a suggestion for a suitable light that will cover this hole? I have found some that would work but they are 16" long. I am hoping to find something closer to 8-10" long.

Thank you in advance!
Chris

If you don't mind the original light housing you could probably just replace the bulb with a new LED bulb and not have deal with finding a new housing that will work.

Thank you both for the suggestions. No doubt both of your suggestions would be much easier. Unfortunately my motivation is to update the fixtures. Having the new ones be LED is just a super efficient bonus. That gives my an idea though. All I have looked at so far have been LED's. Maybe I can find a fixture I like that is not LED and them swap out the guts.

Yep, I'd look for non-LED fixtures that may work for you. Then see what type of bulb they use and find a LED replacement for them=DONE :)
