I just purchased a 2012 310SS to replace my Chaparral 256. The Chap forum is WAY more active than the Formula one seems to be, and also has a lot more pictures.

The pods are very nice. If I had to go with another boat with twin engines and a bow thruster, it would be fine. I was pretty good handling the 35 Sea Ray. At the same time, I would dearly miss the IPS system. It really is a world of difference, in my opinion.

The 45 is pretty much perfect, for how we use it. If you would like to discuss more details, at any point during the process of making your decision, just send a PM and I?m more than happy to help in any way I can.

Tell me about it....I've been posting updates to myself in the Performance Cruisers Forum LOL.....winter blues so I'm doing everything I can in between trips to the boat in storage to think about boats. Beautiful pics my friend, your boat looks fantastic.

2007 280ss. Just bought this in June of 2019 and had a GREAT summer on it. I've been saying "someday" about owning a Formula for the last 15 years, and specifically about a 280 for about 8-10 years. Can't wait for May!

Finally took possession and got her in the water. Did some upgrades already. Replaced all the switches with the newer style ones, replaced all the speakers with JL Audio M6 770 in the cockpit and M6 650 on the transom, replaced both amps with JL Audio M600/1 and M660/6, replaced the airhorn, and changed all nav lights to LED. Bennett Auto trim on order and that will be the next upgrade.
