Loss of Voltage to my Port Engine (8.1 Horizon)

So I was running my 2005 34 PC this weekend in the Barnegat Bay as I usually do and had noticed that my Port Engine Voltage was running at about 12 amps and below and fluctuating back and forth between 11-12. Normally when running at cruising RPM, both engines should be at about 14. Sure enough on my way into my Marina to dock the boat, the Smartcraft alarm came on signaling Low Voltage on that Port Engine.

Has anyone seen this issue ? The serpentine belt / drive belt looks fine no slippage or anything. Could it just be a bad alternator ? Something more serious with the Electrical System ?

Any help would be appreciated.

There are a number of differant things that could cause this. If you are not a tech I wouldn't tackle it myself. Call your Dealer let them work it out. Just my 2 cents.

if you checked the belts, I would say alt but your still charging showing 12 volts, Im surpirsed you got an alert @ 12V

A short in the system most likely would draw more current and therefore show the alternators full potential of 14. I'm betting on the alternator. If it were me, I would throw the battery transfer switch while they're running to see if it changed anything, I'm betting no.
