Mounting grill to 2008 34PC

On my 07 34PC swim platform, there's a factory pedestal mounting hole. Same size as the mount for the table legs. I'm guessing the Magma pedestal will fit in there nicely?

I have an 07 31PC and Formula did not offer a Factory Pedestal mounting hole. That said, the one manufactured by Magnum Grills certainly looks/operates great which could certainly look like a factory-installed product IMHO.....

I'll take a photo next time I'm out. It's there... May not be from factory, but looks like it. Maybe that's a difference between and 31 and a 34? :)

My 08 34PC didn’t come with BBQ option. But I love what Formula engineers came up with. I purchased the mounting bracket and arm ($420) direct from Formula. Dealer would be $100 cheaper but after 30 days of waiting I just needed it. On top of that, you have to buy the Magma, Powr Grip bracket ($92) for the Magma BBQ I already had. Not cheap, but I love the look and function.385246DC-F7AC-4C33-B299-2EBBEE52D903.jpg59B38323-0A2D-49B6-B672-C39AA3C21EF1.jpg

Does it come with Instructions?

No instructions or hardware included. I Installed it myself in a little over an hour. Poly nuts and washers on the inside with a Vise Grip on the nut. I did take pictures of other PCs with this option. don't forget the sealant! I think my install is angled up a bit compared to factory install. I am 6'1". Works for me. Picture is a Factory Formula Install on a newer 34PC

I could not figure out how to correct the orientation of the images but this was my custom install of a Kenyon portable grill. Electric, Smokeless, Flameless, size fits roughly 6-8 burgers, collapsible silicone top allows me to disconnect the power cord collapse the cover and store under the passenger helm seat. Formula needs to integrate the grill like sea ray has done!!!

platform grill.jpgI have used this one on a couple of boats and it's a great, easy set up. The key is to mount the deck mount in a stub free location, and to do it right. You are screwing/bolting into your fiberglass platform and it can lead to water issues. But once done, it is super easy to use. In fact I think I have a complete set up in a storage box. Let me know if you are interested and I will go look for it.

We have the electric version on a 400SS. Its pedestal mounted with the flange on the swim step. I was skeptical of electric but did not want to deal with flames or propane........best marine bbq ever! No issues with wind or flare ups. Really easy to clean.

I also have the Formula factory mount and bracket I'll be mounting it as a first project this year. It was like $400 but I had them throw it in when I made the purchase.

I have used the Magma on my last boat and it worked great BUT A word of advice if you mount it space it off the deck with one or two SS washers and it will save you some headaches fighting that little black button release at the boat is rocking and rolling and it won't release the post. and watch the sealant too lol.
