You do not have to strip them. I guess the process does that. It is not cheap but I spent half of what a new set would have cost. Pluts $100.00 to Gaffrig for neutral switches, buttons, rubbers. I am sending him my windshield frame when I get it apart.

I hadn't thought of dipping my sticks. That is a nice option.

Looks great.

I like not having to convert things also.
Nice that the price is competitive. Sometimes the dipping is cost prohibitive.

Your going to dip the windshield frame too??? Wow you are really doing the bling to her.
Very nice.

I will stick to my painted frame. Some say the reflective frame gets hot to the touch in the sun where the painted frame will not burn your hand. I can't say I know about that but cooler temps in the sun is a preference for me.

Nice pics and keep em comin.

I think I am going to post more over in my thread that says 312 duo prop setup. But to answer your question I have not done the window frame yet. I decided it would cost more than I really wanted to put into the boat. So I did some experiments. I thought maybe I could polish the aluminum under the paint when I stripped it off. Well the aluminum is not perfect so out went that idea. I have the sliver paint used on the volvo drives so I thought to myself I will just strip the paint off the frames and paint it again with the same silver on the drives. But I am focused now on getting my trailer rebuilt so the windshield is on hold until my trailer is done and my boat is wet sanded and buffed out.
