Hello, I'm the proud owner of a new to me (2001) 40PC. This boat did not come with the hydraulic swim platform option. The wife really wants it.... Can you please provide pictures of the hydraulic system specially the hydraulic cylinders/rams. Thank you in advance for all the help :):)

jlanka, thank you so much... yes, this does help. I'm also looking for some pictures from the inside of the engine bay to see how the safety latch was put together. again thank you!!!

I don't have any inside pics, and she's currently shrink wrapped. As soon as they take that off I will take some pics. Probably some time in March.

I think your best option is an after market platform not sure trying to fit the OEM would be worth the trouble.

Thank you, my idea is to work with a local machine shop to fabricate all the parts needed. I also have a shop the will custom make the hydraulic cylinders in 316 stainless.

Is the hull configuration setup for it? Does it look like mine?

It's a little different, but yes. on the inside of the boat the square tubes are bolted thru. this is a picture of the boat.

Hi Miguel, Congrats on the new girl!

I know exactly where your coming from on having things custom made and put together to make it what you want. The times I have done that going into the project it looked cheaper on paper but by the time we were done it was the same price if not just a little bit cheaper or more than going with a full kit made for it and already all the bugs & kinks worked out and the kit would include a warranty and THEY would install it. Then the ongoing headaches for something that is better but not quite right, the boat is my place to get away from all of life's hassles.

Just my opinion, but good luck with the project and happy wife happy life always rings true!

Thank you for the great advice. I tried going with the OME at first. Formula quoted my 83K and TNT lift 45K. I'm going to try the DIY way and see how it goes, I'll keep everyone posted on the progress.

Thanks again

Yeah sorry about that I didnt mean Formula, that OEM will SINK the boat LOL!!

There are 2 pretty reputable companies that make them as a kit. I have a friend that did one on a 42 SeaRay thats 4 ft deep and 13ft wide and did it for mid $20's
