New to me 2001 382 Fastech

I guess this will be a build thread. I like to post more over here. OSO I get crickets. Don't know why I go on that site anyway. So just a couple of pictures of my 312 so you guys get an idea of where I will be headed with this 382. I spent a lot of time on that 312. Just as much work as this 382 needs. The 382 needs more cabin work which I hope some of you guys can help me with. I am pretty sure I can get the tools I need and fix the cabin myself. Formula has started me a large parts list for the 382 and I will be sending the dash to Innotech soon. The imon on the sides are in great shape. Deck needs a little work. The trailer was so rusted I was not sure if she was going to make it home. I am looking for a new trailer.

The 2001 382 Fastech when I picked it up. The top ends on the motors had been done and everything looked good. I freaked about the interior being so bad but I had already priced it with Formula.

Business end. Paint looks ok. One day a project would be tear it apart and repowder coat everything on the transom.

Dash Now. I will mount the Garmin in the new dash.

Dumb stuff like this needs to be fixed. Rubber grommets need repair.

Rear nav light base trashed

Sun pad stitching all gone

Cabin sides coming apart I would say from being outside and the humidity. One side the lights fell out and burned it.

Bomar Hatch trim rings broken

This is the cabin door. The center head liner was repaired. 382 are know for having saggy headliners. It was not done very well. Its it short of the door, and they cut too much where the lights are.

This material may be tough to replace. It goes down each side of the door and around the bottom. It is all coming off.

Lots of stain on the couches but most of that I have cleaned up. The ultra leather should be fine.

This is up front in the V berth looking back. The material around trim pieces are all saggy. Head liner looks short or something.

Bomar hatches broken the rams that hold them open. Anyone know where I can get parts besides Formula?

Deck looking forward. In pretty good shape. Some yellowing in the clear and some peeling up front needs attention.

Clear that is peeling

Dash coming apart. Checking the GPS stuff and wires.

Going to try and do something cool with this lid on the passenger side glove box. It is all cracked.

That's all for now. I will try and add more as I go.

Worked on the waste storage tank a little. Needs adjustment. Pressure switch for tank. Been sitting for a while so it just kept running and never cut off until I messed with it.

Thanks! Work is picking up so may not do much boat stuff for a while. I will post what I can. Compass was sent off for refurbish, every dash panel is out ready to be sent off when I figure out gauges. Waiting on lots of parts from formula.

Maybe some of you guys can help on this. I know someone has changed lights to LED. Here is my problem. Few years ago I did my 312 and used the 6HP-LED Disc G4 Lamp for the cabin lights, but it is now discontinued and so I bought only one LED Tower G4 Lamp, and see how it looks. Dang thing is $20 though. I wont have to twist the tower bulb though.

So today the lights arrived. On the left the disk is for the engine bay.

Middle bulbs are for gun well areas, compartments, or storage spaces. The far right is the one I wanted to use in the cabin but it is too big. So now I am not sure what to do. I also cannot remember which bulb I used in the courtesy lights in the cockpit. I am looking at my super bright led past orders and I do not see the bulbs I used for the cockpit courtesy lights. I am stumped. I have 3 921 mini wedge bulbs but it makes a spot on the lens.

Seems like lots of bulbs have been discontinued so it is difficult now to get them all matching colors.

Found a picture of the courtesy light. I was trying out this 194 wedge but it hits the cover. I also tried a 921 mini wedge but it makes a spot on the lens but fits. Still have the original three in my tool box from an old order. Any ideas?

After looking through superbright LEDS I think I need a 194 wedge base for these. It is the same size as the peanut bulb. That bulb also looks as if I have ordered it before but still not showing on my past orders. So if this one will work I need to find something for the cabin.

Last for today. Parts are showing up. Steve and I spoke today about doing the carbon fiber dash. Boat had a 545s Garmin so that is going in the dash and Livorsi Monster gauges. New kill switches arrived today to replace the old faded ones.

Anyone in the metal CNC guess you call it 3D CNC I want to do a one off piece on the glove box lid. Formula does not have the mold anymore. I thought a metal lid would be cool billet aluminum or something.

Also they do not make the courtesy light that was original to my boat but found one made by optronics that is perfect.

Jared,
I am going to take the cup holder/foot step on the back bench seats to my brother in law in Odessa Texas to see if he can make a copy of it out of Aluminum and then get it anadized or powder coated if you get it to me I can take it as well to see if he can reproduce it. He has a metal shop with every type of tools, waterjet cutter, CNC mills. lathes etc.

Sorry just saw your message. Found a guy on Facebook who was making fender holders. He said he could do it. I sent the lid off yesterday. If I think the price is too high maybe I can try your brother in law.

New Parts! This is all that has arrived so far. I think the other stuff from Formula is on the way. Steve at Innotech should have my dash now.
I went with this light because it covers all the old holes the old light made. It is already LED!

This is the old style I am replacing. You can see I was trying out some bulbs.

I am excited about this one. The chrome on the throttles is in good shape. Still needs a buff but the powder is peeling on the handles. I think I will have the handles powder coated with all my seat parts, etc.
