New to me - 41 PC

I’m closing on a beautiful 1999 41 PC tomorrow or Friday. 1250 hours on Cummins 8.3 450 Diamonds, new Raymarine chartplotters, radar, autopilot, depth finder and 2 VHF radios. New headliners and carpet. Bow and stern thrusters. This is my first boat. I operated this boat on the sea trial but prior to that my boat operating experience is very, very limited. I need to move my new boat from the Choptank river to just inside the Patapsco River on the Chesapeake Bay this weekend. Wish me luck.

Good luck and welcome to the family. I just made that run last weekend, we spent a few nights at River Marsh at the Hyatt and we keep our on the Bodkin at the mouth of the Patapsco. Took about 1 hour 45 minutes cruising 36mph. Where you planning to keep the boat?

Congrats and welcome to the awesome Formula family! BTW: Formula tech support (known as TAG) is outstanding (and free to owners of all model years).

Thank you all very much. I may need the phone number for TAG today. I’m moving her tomorrow. It’s just me and the Owners Manual. The former owner can’t meet me to do a turnover. So I have a ton of newbie questions regarding the operation of the boat.

1st rule of thumb.....Approach the dock as fast as you want to hit it !!!!

Great to see you’re enjoying your new boat so much! Congratulations, and continue to love every s(mile).

Congratulations, Great Choice. I have mine for 2 !/2 years and I pinch myself every time I go out to make sure I am not dreaming, Handles like a dream, I also have bow and stern thrusters and when i come in into my club no one comes to help me anymore, they say anyone can do it with thrusters, LOL. I also was intimidated on the way home the first time, but it was a piece of cake. Enjoy her, she is a great riding boat.

Thanks botjem. I had a sphincter puckering moment leaving the fuel dock when a strong wind caught me broadside and was pushing me towards some very shallow water. But I escaped without damaging my boat or anyone else's. After that it was a very nice ride up the Chesapeake to her new home.
