Many may know this but just in case others do not. When a boat is documented the vessel's info and current and past owners are listed forever. If you have a boats name and the name is used by more then one, they are all listed along with port of call. If you have a boat name that there are few or maybe only one, then its not hard to figure out the owners info.

List your boat name and exact location, it doesn't take much to find out who your are. Then go to FB or others and find more info. If you have a unique name, its real easy. Go have a look around, might be surprised, might not

Look up "why knot" and there is 176 entries, "star gate" there is none, but "stargate" there is 5
Sometimes kind of neat just to look around

Pretty neat. I found my boat in there and my cousins. What it could be useful for is to be able to "politely" send a note to the boater who inappropriately cuts you off. You will have his vessel name, hailing port and then with this site his/her name and address.
