OB on PC's?

I'm going to throw some shade at the engineering department on the 430's ladder design (or lack thereof) -- a little bit of brainstorming and I think that boat could have easily had a fold-down swim step (for a several thousand dollar upgrade charge, of course) off the side.

Opening the generator compartment to get the ladder is so unsexy.

At first pass you would think it would be easy to put a ladder hatch on both sides of the swim platform. The issue is the access hatch for the OB rigging. If you take a look at the pic I posted you can see just over the guy's left shoulder a slit in the platform where the ladder mounts. As wide as that platform is, there is only about 6 inches from the center line to the OB access and to the transom. Not enough room. Access to the ladder is pretty easy as there is a large, easy to open and roomy hatch door but, yea, climbing down to get it is a little different.

On the plus side the SUP racks work great for bikes and that was kinda cool. As with everything on a boat - compromises right?!
