Under water lights have barely been used in boat, but yet I just had my stbd side one fail. The connections are solid and it went from bright to dim to black.

Is there any "bright" ideas or is this a replacement that will cost we may too much $$ over the winter.

I can't imagine these high end lights would just fail so soon.

Thanks

Can you see the light? If there appears to be a black ink looking substance just behind the glass you have water intrusion. See attached...if you do, the good news is they have an excellent 2 year warranty.

I'm assuming you know you have power all the way to the light? I should have asked which model to start. Some of the older ones (2020??) have a black box driver that is known to go bad...

well my to year warranty is probably six years out....

I do have those driver boxes.

I'm actually underway now when I get to where I'm going I'll take some pictures thanks

if you do have the drivers, i would suggest taking the light-to-driver cable for the bad light out of the driver and connecting the questionable light to a known working driver's output. only caution is that they have a red o-ring on the connector that can easily get destroyed, so be careful. then you'll know if it's the driver, or the light at least.

also, let me know what model ya got...

Looks like I would just have to unscrew the two Terminals and then unscrew the driver.

It had power last week it was perfect and then it seemed dim and now it's completely out

ah, 2010...yep, that's what i used to have and was thinking of. try swapping the cables like i said and see what happens...keeps you from having to move the drivers around, but if you want to swap them altogether, that works too...

I. Have the same year 2009 40PC. I took the lights out and replaced them with newer versions with no drivers needed. One went out and had water intrusion. Old technology. I bought new Ocean led lights, don’t have the model handy

I ran out of time - and could not change the drivers...but I got these 2 pictures in relatively clear water. My GUT says this tells me I have a failed LED vs. DRIVER.

I will still try to swap if we think it is the driver...but not looking good. Amazing how such high end lights in FRESH WATER fail like this.

i would still test the driver...kinda looks like low voltage making it to the driver, but also looks like it could be water intrusion?? worth a quick test of the drivers...
