Original Kenwood Unit? Want to get KDC-C717 working again

Does anyone know what the original head unit was for the 2002 timeframe? The past owner put in a KDC-BT652U, which barely powers the arch speakers and is not compatible with the KDC-C717 CD player. I have a lot of CDs and do not use sat radio, so I don't need sirrus or streaming music.

It looks like a KDCMP4028 would work with this set up. Maybe a KDC-232MR?

Again, I only need the OTA radio and the CD/CD changer to work. Getting the helm remote to work would be great too.

I am hoping the previous owner did not do too much "cutting".

Ideally, I would like to put it back "as built".

Just to let everyone know, Bryan sent me the original configuration (and manual!) in less than an hour after emailing him. The original is EA STEREO KDC-9017RC AM/FM CD.

The TAG is the best.

Anyone with old equipment that you don't need, let me know. Specifically the KDA-S210 or S220. Or if you have an old system that you want to dispose. I can't find the KDC-9017, even on ebay.

In my 2002 330S, my stereo a Kenwood KDC-9017 crapped out, it’s at the shop.
if they can’t fix it, what did you guys replace it with?
i want to keep the 6 pack CD and the remote at the helm.
