Prop shortage!!!

So I was looking to drop in two weeks ago, and my marina could not get their act together to get my bottom painted in time. This is despite notifying them of the date I wanted to splash back in early April. Fast forward to today, and I now find out that they "lost" my props. Would not be a big deal as they offered to purchase a new set, EXCEPT there is an overall prop shortage. When I say shortage, I mean that even Formula cannot get props from Merc at the moment. The marina cannot get them in before next Monday, and despite hours of scouring every channel I could find, I remain propless at the moment.

No really anything that can be done (unless someone has a spare set of B3 props for me to borrow ahead of Friday) but as I only get around 6-7 weekends of boating on a good year, losing one is a huge deal for me.

Anyhow, if anyone knows of a place to pickup a set for 26P B3 4-3 props on the ASAP please let me know.

Wow, thank you for all the leads! I'm trying to stay away from the Solas as I have heard mixed reviews and one weekend of boating is not worth being discontent throughout my remaining ownership.

The ebay ones I chased down earlier today, and they were a dead end (seller did not have in-stock).

Almost all of the CL props are 3-3 configuration :-(

HOWEVER, I have no idea how I missed the craigslist add for the set on LBI, which is actually the same island as my port of call. If they work out I will owe you a bottle of wine should our paths ever cross.

No problem. I hope it works out.

Barring the prop deal going south in the next 12 hours, it looks like those CL props are the winner and I will be the water tomorrow.

A HUGE thank you for taking the time to source that. Coincidentally enough, they are actually located about 3 miles from my shorehouse, and little over a mile from the marina. Go figure.

Funny they are out of props too. I had trouble getting my impellers back together this spring. My mechanic couldn't get the front half of the pump from Mercury, had to go with Sierra. He said he heard there is an issue with their supply chain computer systems. Apparently the parts are at the factory but they can't get them out due to inventory issues.

Had to wait over a week to get a thermostat for my starboard 8.2L engine. Only Thermostats were in Fond du Lac, per my mechanic.

Do they look familiar? You a probably buying your own props back.

Technically I would not be buying my props back - the marina would.

The ones I picked up are the newer 4-3 configuration. Mine were the original 3-3 setup. As the originals went MIA I figured I would make the 4-3 upgrade a requirement. So, no, they are not my original props, although the thought that I may stumble across them crossed my mind when I was looking.

Adding a blade can help and hurt, just depends on were your at on the rpm band at WOT. If you are on the low to mid area, then your hole shot may decrease and maybe on top end. If you are at the top end, then it may not hurt so much

I was up at 4800. RPMS dropped about 150 on top, but the hole shot was much improved. Lost about 3MPH at the top, which I am fine with. Dock manners felt slightly better, but that could be placebo effect.
