PSS Dripless Shaft Seal

I noticed my PSS shaft seals are leaking underway. Enough that they spray onto the engines. They don't drip when still.

Can I tighten them a bit? Or, am I looking at a haul out. I just hauled out a month ago.

Not positive I have never experienced this but you can loosen the collar and compress the bellows. No more if not less than eighth of an inch.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Never experienced it myself before either, so wanted to hear from others who may have. Thanks for your input.

Leaks when turning but not when stopped, I think you need to have your shaft checked for alignment or warp (most cases alignment)

From the point that the adjusting collar makes contact with the sealing ring it needs to be compressed 3/4". There are two allen head set screws in the adjusting collar that are not supposed to be reused according to the manufacturer. Mine had a set of set screws installed over the top of the actual set screws. It's a pretty easy adjustment to make, no need to haul out. Just be aware that during the process if the seal is broken a lot of water will come in. It's unnerving if you aren't familiar with it. Might also be some videos if ya do a google search.
