Pump Out Adapters

Does anyone know what size Pumpout adapter would fit a 40PC? I guess I could peek under my shrinkwrap but I figured I would start here and ask all of the smart knowledgeable boaters on the forum. They have different thread sizes, 1 5/8, 1 7/8, etc. Not sure. You would think a 500K boat would come with one.

I bought one when I got my boat and I've never used it. Every pumpout station I've come across has the tapered universal one.

All overboard discharge fittings I've run into are 1 1/2 iron pipe size, which is standard inch and a half pipe. Using a tapered rubber fitting may work as long as there is a good seal to create a vacuum.
Most pump out stations that I've seen thread an adapter into this fitting that adapts to a cam lock hose fitting.
The reason the manufacturer does not put a chain on this cover, to prevent the lid from being lost, is so it does not interfere with this process.
Hope this helps.
Formula plumbed the deck pump out fitting on my 37 PC directly to the tank. At the end of the season, I thread an adapter from 3/4 garden hose to 1.5 pipe size, and flush the inside of the tank out. It helps loosen some of the solids on the bottom of the tank. Usually 5 flushes will completely clean the tank.

Bought a 1 1/2 polypro threaded pipe nipple with threaded ends 6 1/4 long and a cam-and-groove hose coupling adapter, 1 1/2 CPLG size, 1 1/2 fem NPT. Works good when the pump out hose disconnects from the tapered hose. Use Holiday Harbor for fuel and pump out, their tapered hose worked good this year. Last year the set up was different and had to use the above contraption. I no longer shrink wrap the boat as the first year I had water trapped behind the wrap that osmoses into the paint and caused water blisters.

That sounds like a useful contraption. The screw on adapters I have come across are really too short given the discharge fitting is situated in a rounded corner on my boat's swim platform. It's always a pain to get the cam locks on the pumpout hose closed without scratching the gelcoat. I've been looking for an extender...to no avail. Your idea sounds like the ticket. Now I just need some pointers on where to get the parts, and how to put it together.

Bought it at McMaster-Carr supply company, macmaster.com commercial account. Available at Grainger I believe online at grainger.com. Or a good plumbing supply.

Thanks for all of the responses but Formula just got back to me stating it's a 1 1/4 " adapter.
