I have Racor 1000MA’s. They take Racor 2020 filter elements. These filters come in 2 micron, 10 and 30 micron. Which one is correct for my 1999 41PC with Cummins 6CTA 8.3 450 Diamonds?

Most but not all, use 20 micron filter as primary and 2 micron as final.
As we all know about diesels and the fuel, the filters can clog up fast depending on where you fill up. Can also use the 30/20 micron and a 10 last but keeping stuff out of the injectors would be key

I have no first had knowledge of your motor just reading other folks with same and what they have. Hoped some with same motors would comment.
Several threads, but I'll say this; my pickup (6.7 Cummins) requires 5 micron, Kubota tractor is 7 micron. If crud gets into the injector they have to come out and be cleaned. Using a smaller micron filter will help protect the injectors but can also clog up sooner.
